Who Are Our Patients

The patients we treat come from all walks of life. The majority of our practice is limited to adults. Our practice provides medical care for patients who have abnormalities of the brain, skull, spine, spinal cord or peripheral nerves.

In the office, most of our patients are referred to us from their general practitioners, but we also get referrals from other specialists such as orthopedic surgeons, ENT physicians and neurologists and from other neurosurgeons when appropriate.

We are the covering neurosurgeons at four different hospital emergency rooms, including two busy trauma centers. In this setting, we treat many trauma victims who are referred to us from these emergency rooms. While these patients are primarily residents of the Washington metropolitan area, others are flown to us via helicopter from distant locations.
